History
The Bethany Charitable Trust, belonging to the Mangalore Province, is located in Limboi, Vadgam Taluk, Banaskantha District, in the state of Gujarat. It was established in 2007 with the aim of offering both social and pastoral support to the local community. The Trust is especially committed to promoting education, giving preference to Catholic girls, while also serving children from all backgrounds—regardless of caste, creed, or religion. It operates both formal and non-formal educational institutions to fulfill its mission of uplifting and empowering people through education and care.
The objectives of Bethany Charitable Trust (BCT):
• Educational, social, medical, technical, agricultural, cultural, spiritual welfare and other charitable services for the poor, marginalized and the needy in a special way irrespective of caste, creed, and language, religion and so on.
• The promotion of formal, non-formal education.
• The promotion of social services, welfare, integrated and holistic development of the poor, marginalized and the needy.
• The performance of other charity and welfare activities for the poor and needy.

Units of Bethany Charitable Trust:
1. Pushpalaya Girls Hostel at Vadgam, Gujarat The Bethany Charitable Trust began its work in 2009 with a mission to provide education to Dalit and tribal children. Currently, the Trust cares for 28 girls from Dalit and tribal communities, ranging in age from 4 to 15 years. These children are given a safe and nurturing environment—a true home away from home. Along with formal education, special attention is given to their character formation and holistic development.
