I am pleased to present a brief report on the ongoing tailoring training program conducted at Bukla Village, Vadgam Taluk, Gujarat. This valuable initiative is organized by Bethany Charitable Trust, Limboi with the objective of empowering rural women and improving their economic status.
A total of 18 women from the local community have enrolled in the program and are benefiting from it wholeheartedly. The main goal of the training is to provide skill development and create self-employment opportunities for women. The training program spans a duration of three months and includes both theory and practical sessions.
Mrs Rashmika, the tailoring instructor, is sincerely dedicating her time and expertise to teach the women. She employs a hands-on approach, patiently guiding each participant through basic and advanced tailoring techniques. The women are learning to stitch salwar suits, blouses, petticoats, and children’s garments. They are also trained in handling sewing machines and maintaining them efficiently.
The sessions are interactive, and the trainees are responding with great enthusiasm and interest. Bethany Charitable Trust is providing the necessary materials and support to ensure smooth learning.
In addition to technical skills, The training has created a sense of hope, dignity, and unity among the women in the village. Many of them have shared their dreams of becoming self-employed and contributing to their family income. This initiative has not only enhanced their skills but also boosted their self-confidence. Regular attendance and participation reflect the commitment and determination of the trainees.
Periodic assessments are being conducted to monitor their progress. At the end of the training, all participants will be awarded certificates of completion. These certificates will serve as recognition of their hard work and open up employment opportunities. The program is a commendable step toward women’s empowerment and social upliftment.
